Chief Executive Officer
The YMCA of Austin Minnesota is seeking a charismatic leader to enthusiastically take the helm of a state-of-the art, debt-free, $35M community recreation center with a grand opening targeted for late 2019. The product of a partnership between many different community organizations, the recreation center is city owned and will be managed by the YMCA of Austin Minnesota. Community support for the recreation center has been overwhelming with $25M from The Hormel Foundation, $5M from Hormel Food, and $6.4M from a public fundraising campaign.
The incoming CEO will be strategic and visionary to see the big picture to seamlessly partner with community entities through project completion and beyond. The new CEO must be synergetic to position the Y for maximum impact in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in the Y’s service areas. He or she must display a positive and outgoing disposition with the ability to inspire the Board, volunteers, and staff to share the Y story. The new CEO will have the financial acumen to communicate and educate the Board and the staff on all aspects of operations in real time. Appreciating that the Y has great potential to expand services which address community needs, the incoming CEO will drive and support staff in the creation of new programs and the development of new collaborations. Child Development Program Director
As a valued member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position supports the work of the YMCA of Austin, MN, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The candidate will develop, organize, implement and instruct high quality YMCA programs in all areas of child care including preschool instruction, school aged care for afterschool and full-day care in summer. Group Fitness Instructor
The YMCA of Austin is currently seeking fun, energetic persons with an outgoing personality to join our team of Group Fitness Instructors. No previous experience is required, but is always helpful. Training is available for individuals who show interest in continued employment. Leaders facilitate the movement and learning activities for all individuals, adult and child, participating in the Healthy Weight and Your Child program which uses an evidence-based youth physical activity curriculum and classroom lessons to build healthy habits among families.
