WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Areas of Focus

We work every day to serve three crucial areas of focus.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT : Nurturing the potential of every child and teen.  Because we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  That’s why, through the Y, youth today are cultivating values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational

achievement.

HEALTHY LIVING : Improving the nation’s health and well-being.  The Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY : Giving back and providing support to our neighbors.  The Y has been listening and responding to our communities most critical needs for 59 years.  Whether developing skills, welcoming and connecting diverse populations or advocating for healthier communities, the Y fosters the care and respect all people need and deserve.

More Than a Gym

When you join the Y, you are more than a member of a gym.  You are a member of a movement and a place where:

· Parents find a safe, positive environment for children to play and develop lifelong friendships.

· Families come together to have fun and spend quality time with each other.

· Adults connect with friends, pursue interests and learn how to live healthier.

· Communities thrive because neighbors support each other and give back.

· We all build relationships that further our sense of belonging and purpose.

Camp Olson - YMCA of Austin Partner

Friends. Belonging. Freedom. Counselors. Joy. Leadership. Activities. Campfires. Summer. These words spring forward in a word cloud when campers reflect on their experiences at Camp Olson YMCA. The mission of Camp Olson is to share the Spirit of the Northwoods with youth, families, and their leaders through YMCA Christian principled programs that build healthy mind, body, and spirit for all. The Spirit of the Northwoods is the essence of Camp Olson. The Spirit is alive, not only in the activities, songs, and laughter that fill our days, but in the peacefulness of the north. Camp Olson is an independantly chartered YMCA. Visit their website for more information : CAMP OLSON
